Mark II is a Markdown editor for macOS. This policy explains how the Mark II app and its official website handle information.
1. What we do not collect
Mark II does not require an account and contains no advertising, analytics, telemetry, or cross-site tracking. It does not upload your documents, images, attachments, or clipboard contents to our servers. The current version does not provide a cloud sync service operated by us.
2. Documents and local data
Mark II accesses files and folders only when you choose to open, create, drop, paste, import, or save content. Documents remain in locations you select. Images and attachments may be stored in a resource folder beside the document.
The app stores operational preferences on your Mac, such as theme, editing options, and window state. macOS may also store recent-document records and information needed to restore file access. Mark II does not send this data to us.
3. Clipboard and system features
Mark II reads relevant clipboard content only when you invoke an action such as Paste or New from Clipboard. File selection, printing, exporting, and opening links use system features provided by macOS.
4. Website
This website uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. A hosting provider may process standard access logs for security and operation under its own policy.
5. External links
When you open a web link from a document, Mark II passes it to the default macOS application. Once you leave Mark II, the destination app or website handles information under its own privacy policy.
6. Managing and deleting data
You can manage or delete your documents and resources in Finder at any time. App preferences and supporting information saved by macOS can be managed using system-provided methods. Removing the app does not delete documents stored elsewhere.
7. Changes to this policy
If Mark II's data practices change materially, we will update this page and its revision date.
